Relationships in all forms can be hard to manage. Most often, people lose the ability to communicate with their friends, family, and loved one's do to the fact that we live in a busy world surrounded by distractions of all kinds. The most effective way to rekindle a relationship with someone you have become distant with is the use of Gratitude.
Gratitude is being thankful. It is the key to communication and what binds us together. Most of the time we are angry or upset with ourselves and other's for minuscule reason's. We hang on to our grudges tightly with little forgiveness. Not only is this damaging to our relationships, it is unhealthy by nature.
Gratitude in your marriage can be a very beneficial key to improving communication. When you have been married for so many years communication can be hard to come by. Couples stop saying "thank you" for small deed's and begin to expect those deed's with no gratitude. If we are not thankful for the things that we "do have" we can tend to blame our significant other for the situations we are enduring. Practicing gratitude daily can improve our self image and bring about an appreciation for just about anything. We can then let go of the things that we cannot change and enjoy the blessing's all around us.
Wake up every morning and think of everything that you have whether it is great or not. Think of all your friend's and family, your neighbors, and your enemies. Put all of these images in your thoughts and say "Thank You"! Life is to short to waste time. Love yourself, your surroundings, and those close in heart. It is much harder to be kind due to our prideful nature yet more rewarding when you actually try. Gratitude is the foundation of our lives and the building blocks to our relationships~
